We couldn’t have been more pleased when Dante Pizzeria was placed in the culinary spotlight of Zagat’s recent feature, “50 States, 50 Pizzas.” The staff writers at Zagat celebrated Pizza Week by touring the United States to find the best pizzas available and when they came to Nebraska, they chose Dante. The wood-fired Neapolitan-style pies they’re churning out here are topped with creative local ingredients (they list their purveyors on their website) and visit-worthy, and they strictly adhere to the Neapolitan guidelines of the Associazione Verace Pizza Napoletana. We love all the varieties, but it’s special pies like the BLT – pork belly, tomato and basil – that never fail to surprise and delight.
